Liberty Academy - Now accepting applications for 2024-25 school year.

In response to the needs of our families, Oldham County Schools is offering an online only schooling option for students in grades 6-12.

If you are interested in this option for the 2024/2025 school year, please complete the following application:

What is Liberty Academy?

  • Liberty Academy is a stand-alone online school for 6th-12th grade students in Oldham County.
  • It is not a dual-enrollment school - students will only be enrolled in Liberty Academy.
  • Students will complete courses by using an online learning platform.
  • Students will graduate from Liberty Academy and Oldham County Schools after completing the minimum requirements for graduation (21 high school credits).
  • As public school students, Liberty Academy students are required to take assessments (i.e. ACT, ACCESS, Kentucky Summative Assessment, and more if necessary for success).
  • Liberty Academy students are not eligible to participate in school athletics, or activities (such as band/choir and prom) that other Oldham County Schools offer.
  • All families interested in participating in online schooling need to apply.
  • If the application is approved, a Learning Contract will be completed and signed by the student and parents/guardians. Any student failing to meet the terms of the agreement would be removed from Liberty Academy and enrolled in their school of residence within Oldham County Schools.
