What is Liberty Academy?
- Liberty Academy is a stand-alone online school for 6th-12th grade students in Oldham County.
- It is not a dual-enrollment school - students will only be enrolled in Liberty Academy.
- Students will complete courses by using an online learning platform.
- Students will graduate from Liberty Academy and Oldham County Schools after completing the minimum requirements for graduation (21 high school credits).
- As public school students, Liberty Academy students are required to take assessments (i.e. ACT, ACCESS, Kentucky Summative Assessment, and more if necessary for success).
- Liberty Academy students are not eligible to participate in school athletics, or activities (such as band/choir and prom) that other Oldham County Schools offer.
- All families interested in participating in online schooling need to apply.
- If the application is approved, a Learning Contract will be completed and signed by the student and parents/guardians. Any student failing to meet the terms of the agreement would be removed from Liberty Academy and enrolled in their school of residence within Oldham County Schools.
