Liberty Academy is a stand-alone online school for 6th-12th grade students in Oldham County.
It is not a dual-enrollment school - students will only be enrolled in Liberty Academy.
Students will complete courses by using an online learning platform.
Students will graduate from Liberty Academy and Oldham County Schools after completing the minimum requirements for graduation (21 high school credits).
As public school students, Liberty Academy students are required to take assessments (i.e. ACT, ACCESS, Kentucky Summative Assessment, and more if necessary for success).
Liberty Academy students are not eligible to participate in school athletics, or activities (such as band/choir and prom) that other Oldham County Schools offer.
All families interested in participating in online schooling need to apply.
If the application is approved, a Learning Contract will be completed and signed by the student and parents/guardians. Any student failing to meet the terms of the agreement would be removed from Liberty Academy and enrolled in their school of residence within Oldham County Schools.
