Liberty Academy is an online school for 6th-12th grade students in Oldham County.
It is a dual-enrollment school - students will only be enrolled in Liberty Academy and their district school.
Students will complete courses by using an online learning platform.
Students will graduate from Liberty Academy and Oldham County Schools after completing the minimum requirements for graduation in their district school. (22 high school credits at NOHS and OCHS, and 24 at SOHS).
As public school students, Liberty Academy students are required to take assessments (i.e. ACT, ACCESS, Kentucky Summative Assessment, and more if necessary for success).
All families interested in participating in online schooling need to apply.
If the application is approved, a Learning Contract will be completed and signed by the student and parents/guardians. Any student failing to meet the terms of the agreement would be removed from Liberty Academy and enrolled in their school of residence within Oldham County Schools.
Students enrolling from an Oldham County school midyear must be passing all courses to transfer.
